Acclimatization:

Acclimatization is one of the important things to prepare for while planning a trip to Ladakh. Since Leh and most of the places in Ladakh are located above 10,000 feet, visitors may suffer from dizziness, headaches or even acute mountain sickness (AMS). So, planning to acclimatize to the high altitude conditions becomes one of the most important things to take into consideration when you are planning your trip to Ladakh.

You will be travelling through high altitude passes which are the  world’s highest driveable passes. This is why it is important to go to Leh by road to slowly acclimatize the body. We will also be staying at certain places which are also at high altitudes.

These altitudes are from 2000 m (Approx 6500 ft) up to 6000 m (Approx 19,700 ft).

Weather:

This is one of the best times to travel to Leh as this time offers a pleasant stay as well as better road conditions (than during the monsoons).

Temperature: Approx min. 5 – Max. 25 °C (41 – 77 F)

1. Limited places on first come first served basis.
2. It’s our endeavor to make this the best possible trip that it can be, but we would not be liable for delays/cancellations due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances.
3. We may need to change the itinerary due to bad weather or other unavoidable circumstances.
4. Tour package cost doesn't include transportation (From Dharamshala to Leh and back to Dharamshala) but include accommodation, daily main meals, guide and meditation.
5. During days off in Manali and Leh you can visit some good restaurants for meals but these costs are not included in the package.
6. Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy:
a. Any airline tickets issued are subject to the carrier’s refund policy.
b. Government tax will not be refundable.
c. There will be NO refund if you cancel within 60 days of the start of the tour.
d. In line with 6.c, leaving a tour in progress, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of a tour.
e. We reserve the right to cancel any trip because of inadequate enrolment that makes the trip economically unfeasible to operate or because of good-faith concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of the participants.
f. If we cancel the trip in progress, you will receive a prorata refund based on the number of days not completed on the tour. We will not be responsible for any refund for non-refundable airline tickets or for any airline tickets purchased by the passenger directly from an airline or travel agent.
g. Accommodation booked on your own behalf is excluded from this refund policy.
h. Refunds will be made only in India in INR only as per RBI regulations.
i. It would take at least 20 days to process the refunds and there is no refund payable for any unutilized services (For example, meals/entrance fees/sightseeing, etc.)
j. The cost of gratuities, insurance, sightseeing, excess baggage charges, laundry, drinks, tips, airport taxes, meals except where indicated and items of a personal nature are not included in the tour cost.
k. All prices and fares are quoted in Indian Rupees or otherwise specifically stated. The rates are based on current tariffs and are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. While we will do everything possible to maintain the listed prices, if it is necessary to levy a surcharge, we reserve the right to do so, and notification will be given at the time of final invoicing. Current GST is @5% and is a part of the listed price. Any subsequent change of Tax by Govt. before the final execution of tour resulting in higher price will have to be paid by the participant before the tour commencement.
l. Travel and/or any other insurance(s) is not included in the tour price.
7. Eligibility: Participants in a Rahi Adventure Tour, Workshop and Private Tour must be 18 or over. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire journey.
8. Weather: We reserve the right to cancel, reschedule or re-route this sacred tour up until the last minute, due to inclement or unsafe weather conditions, safety or other uncontrollable circumstances.
9. Important: The itineraries and staff presented on this website are subject to modification and change by Rahi Adventure or its designated tour operator. Every reasonable effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but alterations may still occur after final itineraries are sent. Rahi Adventure makes every attempt to provide photographic opportunities during the best possible light, but this is often compromised by daily itineraries and travel schedules. Since the best light is just after Sunrise and just before Sunset when the Sun is low, it is impossible to visit all locations during these limited hours. Rahi Adventure makes every attempt to instruct throughout the tour. It is important that you arrive with a working knowledge of your camera’s settings. Rahi Adventure does not provide any classroom instruction on the basic camera operation. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and seek out your mentor when you need help.

10. Health Requirements:
a. It is important to inform the tour organizer about your health before booking as your health may be affected due to the high altitude as well as the mountain roads.
b. You need to also mention about your health in the booking form.
c. Please carry your own medicines as during the tour you might not be able to obtain those medicines.
d. Please prepare your travel kit and make sure you have everything when you set off as you might not find these items during the tour because we will be passing through some very isolated places.
e. You must be in good physical and mental health. You must be able to maintain the pace of the group throughout the tour. Any physical condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when you register. Failure to participate in daily activities due to physical or mental health will not result in any refund. For special dietary requirements, we do our best to convey this information to restaurants and food establishments, but communication of these requirements to restaurants and food establishments is ultimately your responsibility.

Payments, Cancellation and Refunds:
Your reservation may be cancelled if full payment has not been received at the time of your booking.
All cancellation notices must be received in writing and will become effective as of the date of the postmark (standard mail or electronic).
Cancellation deductions will be as per the following policy:
Refund amount - Refund If cancelled (Prior to departure of the tour)
100% - 90 days
50% - 89 - 60 days
0% - 59 – 1 days(s)
